Cricket clothing is an integral part of the game of cricket and for that reason it is of utmost importance that a player wears the perfect form of cricket apparel. The various types of clothing used in the game of cricket include shirts, sweaters, trousers, socks, undergarments and shoes. Whether it is the white cricket team jersey or the colored ones, a player needs to make sure that he got all of his clothing right before stepping into the field.

The cricket shirts and t-shirts are the most important part of the whole uniform. The shirts may have full arms or quarter length arms and are generally made of polyester fabric. This makes them light and easily breathable in hot weather conditions. The shirts can be white or colored, and while white cricket jersey was once the norm, nowadays people often opt for colored variants as well. Apart from the shirt, the cricketer also has to wear a chest pad. The main goal of wearing a chest pad is to offer protection to the front part of the body, i.e. the ribcage, lungs and heart from the direct impact of cricket ball. If a player has to perform in chilly weather, then he may also wear a sleeveless or full sleeve sweater.

The next important part of cricket jersey white or colored is the trousers, leg pads and thigh pads. The trousers must be lightweight and provide comfort to the wearer. They should also fit perfectly and not be too loose or too tight. The trousers generally come with fully elastic waistbands that provide extra comfort and convenience. Thigh pads are worn under trousers for protecting the thighs. The leg pads protect the players’ shin bone from possible injuries. Hence special care needs to be taken while choosing these important body guards and pads.
